Passionate About Helping Others
I didn’t set out to become a speaker.
I set out to build a career in the energy industry.
For several years, I worked for a national natural gas company, partnering closely with pipeline crews, contractors, and field teams. That’s where I developed a deep respect for safety culture — not as a checklist, but as a responsibility. In that world, safety isn’t optional. It’s personal. It’s how everyone goes home.
But the message became even more personal after an accident caused by a poor decision I made while driving.
In a moment of distraction, everything changed.
That experience forced me to confront something most of us don’t want to admit: we don’t usually lack knowledge about safety — we lack intentionality. We get comfortable. We get distracted. We go through the motions. At work. At home. On the road.
And that complacency has consequences.
Today, I speak to construction teams, contractors, and organizations across industries about distracted driving, intentional living, and the everyday decisions that shape our safety and our lives. My approach cuts through the typical “lukewarm” safety talk. I don’t lecture. I challenge. I ask hard questions. I create space for people to reflect on how present they truly are — behind the wheel, on the jobsite, and at home with the people who matter most.
Because when I ask teams whether they “half-show up” for the hobbies and people they love, the answer is always no.
So why would we accept anything less when it comes to safety?
My mission is simple:
To help people minimize distractions, live intentionally, and make decisions that allow them — and the people around them — to go home safely every single day.
Safety isn’t just about policies.
It’s about presence.
And presence saves lives.
